Did you miss the way that Twitter reacted to a tweet Steph Curry’s wife Ayeshasent out on Saturday night? If so, CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY!

The tweet featured Mrs. Curry making a comment about the way that some women dress:

Everyone's into barely wearing clothes these days huh? Not my style. I like to keep the good stuff covered up for the one who matters 😂😂😂

— Ayesha Curry (@ayeshacurry) December 6, 2015

She didn’t call anyone out specifically or directly pass any judgment on anyone by sending out the tweet. But some people freaked out and tried to engage her on Twitter. Long think pieces were written about her tweet (on a Sunday morning, no less!) and “Ayesha Curry” trended on Twitter for hours. It was…weird.

Last night, Steph—who helped the Warriors advance to 22-0 on the season by beating the Nets on Sunday—was asked to respond to what took place. And while he said that he was surprised by how people reacted to his wife’s tweet, he also said that the Warriors enjoyed some of the memes that came out of it and that he is proud of Ayesha for the way she handled the negative reaction to it. CSN reporter Rosalyn Gold-Onwude got the full scoop:

Spoke w/ Steph Curry about Ayesha's tweets. Said he was surprised ppl took offense to it. He thought Twitter was for expressing opinions.

Curry also posted this on Instagram:

If nothing else, we’re pretty sure Ayesha learned the power of her words this weekend, no?
