Most dogslove going for car rides. But snakes? Ehhh, not so much.

Recently, a Levittown, Pa. man found that out the hard way when he decided to take his 3-foot-long baby boa constrictor for a ride to the pet store to pick up food for the snake. Luke Stackhouse says that he's made the trip with the snake before in his 2005 Ford F-150 and that he typically puts the snake on the dashboard by the defroster to keep it warm. But during a trip last Wednesday night, the snake—which Stackhouse named Dabby—managed to slither down into the interior of the dashboard and get stuck. And Stackhouse had to pay more than $500 to a local Ford dealership to have them take the dashboard apart so that Dabby could be rescued.

"I'm so happy," Stackhouse said after the snake was finally removed from the car. "This is such a relief."

We just hope he learned a lesson here. Snakes aren't dogs, dude. So the next time you hit the pet store, leave your pet behind.
