Leslie Smith has taken part in a number of fights for the Invicta FC and UFC organizations. But on Saturday night, the 125-pound fighter took part in her most notable bout yet when she destroyed a man who decided to grab her friend's butt at a club in San Francisco.
According to Smith, who spoke with MMA Fighting about the ordeal, the man walked by her, fellow UFC fighter Heather Clark, and two of her friends outside of a club called The Mint on Saturday and proceeded to touch one of the women inappropriately. That set Smith off and led her to confront the man. And when he refused to apologize for what he did, she decided to beat an apology out of him.
"I followed him and I was like, 'Hey, you can't do that,'" she said. "And he was like, 'I can do whatever I want.' And I was like, 'No, you can't.' Then, he turned around and spit on me and threw a big right hand. He had my hair, so I pushed him against a building and then I double-legged him. I took him down against the cage and then I started to take his back, but his hair was really gross and it didn't quite feel right. I let go of that and just dropped elbows on him. He turned over and I just dropped elbows on him from mount against the building until he started saying, 'I'm sorry.' Then, I stopped as soon as he said sorry, because that was really the only thing I went over there for."
Bet he wishes he would have just said he was sorry now, eh? Or better yet, bet he wishes he hadn't have grabbed Smith's friend in the first place. She wouldn't have had to go to such extreme measures, although it does sound like she's pleased with what she did.
"It has given my friend and all of my female friends so much pleasure to know that happened," she said.
Good for her. That guy deserved everything that he got from Smith.
