After the Lakers lost to the Mavericks on Sunday night to fall to 0-3 on the season, Kobe Bryantwas angry. Very angry. He referred to himself as the “200th-best player in the league” and said, “I freaking suck,” during a tense interview with reporters.

After the Lakers lost—again—to the Nuggets on Tuesday night to fall to 0-4 on the season, Kobe took a much more lighthearted approach to things. He obviously wasn’t happy with the way his team played against Denver, but when he was asked how Lakers fans should react to their team’s terrible start to the season, he told them that it’s time for them to “freak out” now:

I asked Kobe what I should tell the fans who are freaking out with the Lakers' losses - he said let them freak out its good for the soul

Kobe was kidding. We think. But during his postgame interview with reporters, he also pointed out how the Lakers’ youth is hurting them at the moment and alluded to the fact that it’s going to take time for the younger players on the team to adjust to life in the NBA:

Kobe Bryant's main point postgame is that the players are so young they aren't experienced enough to make the necessary reads defensively

He’s right. If you’ve watched the Lakers play so far this season, it’s clear their youth is going to hinder them. But uh, Kobe, stuff like this isn’t helping the cause:

Neither is this:

Two airballs in one game? UGH.

Eventually, the Lakers have to start playing better than they are right now (right?!?). But if you’re a Lakers fan and you’re freaking out, no one is going to blame you for doing it.
