The NBA free agency period begins tomorrow, and Clippers center DeAndre Jordan is going to have a very busy day. He's scheduled to meet with the Mavericks, Lakers, Knicks, and Clippers before deciding which team he wants to sign with this summer. But according to the Los Angeles Times, at least one NBA superstar is already trying to sway Jordan's decision.
An NBA official who spoke with the Times on Monday revealed that Kobe Bryant called Jordan recently to talk to him about the idea of leaving the Clippers for the Lakers. The Times didn't reveal exactly what Kobe said to Jordan, but he was apparently calling him to tell Jordan that the Lakers are very interested in obtaining his services.
Will it have any impact on what Jordan ultimately decides to do? Eh, probably not. It's worth noting that he's also spent time with Chris Paul in the last week. But it's clear that Jordan is going to be a hot commodity in early July and that his recruitment could get pretty crazy.
