Former NFL player Josh Morgan is currently recovering from a gunshot wound that he suffered late last month. According to TMZ Sports, the former 49ers/Redskins/Bears/Saints wide receiver was cleaning a gun that he owns at his home in Virginia on January 31 when he accidentally shot himself with it. He was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after the incident and will reportedly be OK.
The story doesn’t end there, though. TMZ Sports is also reporting that, in light of what happened, Morgan has been charged with misdemeanor reckless use of a firearm. So in addition to recovering from the wound that he suffered, he will also be required to make a court appearance in March.
Morgan is yet to release a statement regarding his injury. Stay tuned for further details.
