Where is Carmelo Anthony going to end up playing next season? For months now, he has maintained that he would be back with the Knicks. But now, he’s not so sure.

Yesterday, a report emerged indicating that Carmelo would consider waiving his no-trade clause this summer if the Knicks don’t land any top free agents. He was then asked about what he thinks the future holds for him after practice earlier today, and he responded by saying that he doesn’t have a clue.

“Shit, I don’t know,” he said. “I honestly…it’s hard to answer those types of questions when you don’t know what’s going to happen. We still have a month left to the season. To be thinking, ‘Am I going to be on this team next season?' That’s for you to speculate. I don’t know what’s going to happen this summer. I can’t predict that.”

Carmelo did go on to say that he has had conversations with Phil Jackson and the Knicks’ front office recently that have been positive. But that isn’t going to do much to get rid of the cloud of uncertainty that’s hanging over him right now.
