After coaching basketball since the '70s, Flip Saunders has passed away today (Oct. 25) after his battle with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He was 60 years old. The Timberwolves revealed the loss through a public release.
Saunders became the Timberwolves' president of basketball operations in 2013 and returned as head coach last year after previously coaching the team from 1995 through 2005. He's survived by his wife and four children.
