Kobe Bryant has been good these past few games. But has he been good enough to offset the rest of his tragicomic season? No, and the Lakers have been getting thrashed so thoroughly that even the Black Mamba is getting humbled.
Regardless, he's good enough to lead in All-Star votes. And he's leading by a large margin. The 719,235 votes he has is way more than Steph Curry, who has 510,202 despite being the league's leading MVP candidate. Bryant also has more votes than Kevin Durant and LeBron James combined.
So Bryant's very existence in the purple and gold is now enough to rake in All-Star votes. He was voted as the Western Conference's starter in 2014. An injured Bryant played just six games that season.
