Fresh off winning his first NBA title and being named Finals MVP, Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic wants to return home to Serbia.

Unfortunately, Jokic will have to wait a couple of days to leave the United States, and for good reason. The city of Denver on Thursday is scheduled to celebrate the Nuggets' first-ever NBA Championship with a parade.

Minutes after closing out the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, as the two-time NBA MVP dominated with 28 points and 16 rebounds, Jokic was already thinking about getting home.

"It's good. It's good," he told ESPN's sideline reporter Lisa Salters when asked about how he feels to win the Finals. "The job is done, and we can go home now."

While speaking with the media at his post-game press conference, Jokic appeared to have not realized that every American professional sports team celebrates winning a championship by hosting a parade.

"When is [the] parade?" Jokic asked a Nuggets PR person after he was informed about the upcoming celebration. After learning that the parade is scheduled for this Thursday, Jokic made no effort to contain his frustration.

"No," he said. "I need to go home."

Jokic's genuine reaction to discovering the news has since gone viral on social media, as basketball fans can't help but appreciate the Finals MVP's authentic response to realizing he has to "work" another day this week.
