New York Jets WR and Mark Sanchez's best friend Santonio Holmes is likely done for the rest of the way. Holmes suffered a lisfranc injury to his left foot Sunday vs. the San Francisco 49ers. The Jets still aren't able to confirm if the foot is broken, but he is "99% likely out for the season" according to Yahoo Sports' Jason Cole. Santonio injured the foot when he slipped after a catch that caused a fumble for a TD. He went straight for his knee, but MRI results on the knee came back negative. The Jets are a sloppy 2-2 and have struggled offensively since they blew up for 48 points vs. Buffalo on Week 1.
Santonio Holmes caught 20 passes for 272 yards and a touchdown in four games this season.
