Damian Lillard is fearless on the court, so it's kinda weird to find out the god is afraid of statues; especially wax and historic ones. The first year point guard is playing like the Rookie of the Year, so far with the Blazers sitting at 6-8. Portland was in D.C. to play the Wizards tonight (Washington won!) and Lillard took to Twitter to let his followers know of his phobia:

I like DC. I wana come back and visit the memorialseven though I'm scared of statues
People I'm only scared of historic statues. Abraham Lincoln , MLK, etc . Had a bad experience at the wax museum lmao

He told USA Today that it started a couple years ago when he visited a wax museum while at Weber St., Lillard said:

"The last room was Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln — all these big-time historic people, and it looked just like them. Same size," he said. "They had music playing in the room to set the mood, and it just threw me off."

"Ever since then I've done. Even at Lake Oswego (near Portland), I drive past the cemetery, and there's a statue of Jesus with his hands up. That even scared me. I don't mess with statues no more.

"It's the idea that they're from so far back, and so big in our history. Just to see something that looks so close to them, it's weird. It freaks me out."

While Damian was driving through D.C. Tuesday all he could think about was Abraham Lincoln getting killed. Damn, that's a pretty weird phobia to have. We can't blame him, though.  Wax statues and cemeteries are definitely creepy. All we need is for all the statues to come to life with all the weird shit that's been going on. Like with Twinkies on the brink of becoming extinct. Damian won't know where to hide. It'll be like Zombieland, but with wax and huge, historic statues.

December 21 is right around the corner, folks. Should be a blast.
