Modern-day rappers and old-school gangsters take note: For the first time in eight years, Chevy is redesigning the fabled Impala. This will be the 10th generation of the car, which was introduced in 1958.

GM will unveil the car in a couple weeks, at the New York International Auto Show. We just got an advance peek, and the new Impala has undergone a definite upgrade. Until you get close enough to see the Chevrolet  bow tie, you might mistake this elongated sedan for an Audi.

Chevy wouldn’t give us a full range of pictures of the new ride. All we could snag was a single teaser shot for you. We think you'll like this one.
