Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has battled a hamstring injury all year, and he has only one catch and 11 yards so far this season. He has appeared in two of New England's four games.

That's far from the production fantasy owners were expecting when they selected the monster athlete early in their drafts. (ESPN's Matthew Berry ranked Gronkowski the No. 11 fantasy prospect. The next-highest tight end was Jordan Reed at No. 35.)

Last year, Gronkowski put up astronomical figures of 72 catches, 1,176 yards, and 11 touchdowns. Of course, he was healthier at that time and he had Tom Brady.

Nonetheless, fantasy football is serious business (there's nothing like the dopamine spike when Julio Jones racks up 300 yards and you beat Joe from Accounting by 70). Some ruthless Boston-area fantasy owners are letting Gronkowski hear their displeasure.

"I can't even go to the grocery store without getting yelled at," Gronkowski told the Boston Globe in an interview published Wednesday.

Poor Gronk. He added that he's not too concerned about your fantasy team, though. "If we get the W and I have no catches, I'm satisfied, man," he said.

Gronkowski said he's hoping this week's game against Cleveland will be the week he returns to full strength. He'll also have Brady back as his QB and will probably, in true Gronkowski form, rebound to finish this season with beast-mode stats.
