The Houston Rockets evened up their Western Conference Finals series with the favored Golden State Warriors Wednesday night. Houston led all game and won comfortably, 127-105.
Despite Houston's dominance, Kevin Durant continued to ball out. He put up 38 points in 35 minutes on 13-for-22 shooting.
Tensions have run high since the series tipped, and on Wednesday those tensions extended to the crowd. Late in the third quarter, as Houston point guard Chris Paul's brother—not Cliff Paul—barked at Durant, the former OKC star chirped back, telling him to "sit down!" Houston was up by 18 at the time, and Paul's brother (C.J.) was clearly feeling the moment.
TNT's Chris Webber told C.J. not to "wake a sleeping giant when he already has 36 (points)." Then Reggie Miller clarified that the fan was Chris' brother.
"Ay, what's up, C.J.?" Webber added. "I didn't know that was you...he and his brother are having a good time tonight."
Adding to the vitriol of Durant's response: K.D. spat as he clapped back.
Paul had 16 points, six assists, and four boards. James Harden added 27 points and 10 boards.
With the series knotted at 1-1, it now moves to the Bay Area. Golden State will host Game 3 Sunday at 8 p.m. EST. You can watch the game on TNT.
