Julio Jones Reportedly Skipping Preseason Training Until He Gets a Raise

Earlier this offseason, Atlanta Hawks star wide receiver Julio Jones scrubbed the team from his social media feeds, but a report indicated he was "happy" with the team. One thing he definitely is not happy with, however, is his contract. Jones is under contract through 2020, but he wants a new deal, as he's set to make only $10.5 million this season. In comparison, Antonio Brown makes about $17 million per year.

Per multiple reports, Jones has no plans to show up to Falcons preseason training unless the two sides reach a new deal.

The Falcons do not appear inclined to revise Jones' contract, so it seems the former Alabama wideout is playing some hardball.

Jones has already skipped the team's mandatory minicamp. He signed a six-year deal worth $81.4 million in 2015—a move he clearly regrets.
