Cam Newton and Kelvin Benjamin got into a little kerfuffle before the Carolina Panthers-Buffalo Bills preseason game last week. Newton appeared to confront Benjamin, but the wide receiver walked away from the quarterback.

Newton would have reason to be upset. Benjamin had chastised him in a recent interview.

"If you would've put me with any other quarterback (in Carolina), let's be real, you know what I’m saying?" Benjamin had said. "Any other accurate quarterback like [Aaron] Rodgers or Eli Manning or Big Ben [Roethlisberger]—anybody!—quarterbacks with knowledge, that know how to place a ball and give you a better chance to catch the ball. It just felt like I wasn't in that position."

Monday, the Panthers shared a video of Cam strangely talking about a wall. He doesn't mention Benjamin by name, but it sure seems that he's referring to his former teammate.

"I need things around me just like this wall," Newton says in the video. "I know you're probably asking yourself like, 'Why this wall? It's just so basic.' But it never changed on me. It's the same wall every single day. I like that. I need things, people around me that are like this wall."

After the preseason game, Benjamin said he "wasn't even trying to listen" to Newton. Sadly, these teams won't meet in the regular season.
