Draymond Green Claps Back at Charles Barkley and Some Aren't Impressed

Green's remark didn't pack the same punch as "You thought you was Kobe?"

It's safe to say that Draymond Green and the rest of the Warriors are having a subpar year. This lackluster production has seemed to seep into other aspects of Green's game as his trademarked trash-talking isn't as sharp as it used to be.

While watching a clip of Klay Thompson taking some shots with a headband, Charles Barkley threw a jab at Draymond.

"Draymond don't talk as much now that he's averaging that triple-single," Barkley said to fellow TNT analyst Shaquille O'Neal. Barkley previously used the insult on both Ben Simmons and Lonzo Ball

Draymond caught wind of Chuck's diss, leading him to respond by saying: "You make everything sound like a Wendy's sandwich ... or maybe he's speaking in terms of my rings."

Normally, Green's comebacks are so vicious that fans (and players) shy away from verbally sparring with him. Yet, this remark didn't pack the same punch as "You thought you was Kobe?"

Draymond acts like Barkley wouldn’t have at least 3 playing with Steph, Klay, and KD

In Draymond's defense, he is playing with a finger sprain. Also, his numbers are not far off of his career averages. Green has averaged 9 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game in his career. This year, he's averaging 8.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game. Yet, the injury-plagued Warriors are dead last in the Western Conference. This makes for a quiet year for him and his team, allowing Chuck to get the last laugh.
