The Anthony Davis trade saga continues.Β On Tuesday, The Athletic'sΒ Shams Charania reported that the New York Knicks will attempt to entice the Pelicans into trading Anthony Davis if they are lucky enough to win the NBA Draft Lottery.

"The Knicks getting the No. 1 pick impacts the Anthony Davis potential trade talks," Charania said. "I’m told if the Knicks do get that No.1 overall pick that they will shift their focus toward a potential deal for Anthony Davis."

According to Charania's sources, the Knicks will send the expected No. 1 overall Zion Williamson and standout rookie Kevin Knox to New Orleans in exchange for the elite big man. If this is true, the Knicks could potentially present the Pelicans a package that would be hard to top by any of the teams interested in AD. Also, this acquisition of Davis would add to the top-shelf free agents that are rumored to be strongly considering Madison Square Garden as their new home.

It is said that most of the basketball worldΒ thinks that Kevin Durant will leave Golden State's stacked roster to be the go-to man for the Knicks. This adds to claims that Kyrie Irving is teetering between the Nets or the Knicks with those close to him stating he's leaning towardsΒ Manhattan over Brooklyn. Combining these names with AD would create a new big three in the Big Apple making New York immediate championship contenders.

Still, there's a lot of things have to go right for this new New York dynasty beginning with Tuesday's Draft lottery. At 14 percent, New York is in a three-way tie with Cleveland and Phoenix for the team with the best odds of getting the No. 1 pick. But no matter which way the ball bounces, it will be interesting to see how that team handles a generational talent like Zion Williamson.Β
