Adrien Broner's big fight against 40-year-old Manny Pacquiao didn't go his way at all. Pacquiao handled the Cincinnati native all night and ended up winning by unanimous decision. Naturally, Broner's famously loud mouth and the fact that he lost to a 40-year-old despite being in what's supposed to be his prime years quickly made him joke material.
He didn't look that much better during his post-fight interview with Jim Gray, where he claimed "everyone" knows he was the actual winner. Gray noted that he's 3-3-1 in his last seven fights, prompting Broner to say that he could go 7-0 against the 60-year-old interviewer. Gray, unimpressed, gave a simple response: "Well, that wouldn't mean much."
The delusion displayed in Broner's post-fight interview only added fuel to the fire. As a result, everyone got those jokes off.
The internet also joked on Broner's entrance, which featured an appearance from Chicago's G Herbo.
As Gray alluded to, Broner has been looking sus after starting his career 27-0. After that first loss to Marcos Maidana in 2013, he's went an unimpressive 6-3-1.
