Big Boi's son, Cross Patton, announced that he's going to attend the University of Oregon at a ceremony at Woodward Academy, where he attended high school in Atlanta, Georgia.

"I just want to thank my family: mom and my dad, coach Davis, my football team," he said in his opening remarks. "With that being said, I want to announce that I committed to the University of Oregon."

Like his Grammy-winning pop, Patton isn't very big—he stands just 5-foot-7—but he's quick and agile. Butler and Columbia offered him scholarships, as did Division II school Seton Hall, but Patton preferred to walk on at Oregon. If his dad's IG feed is any indication, he couldn't have been more proud of his son's decision:

Oregon Ducks fell to 5-2 on the season after a 34-20 loss to Washington State on the Saturday after Patton's announcement.
