In June, we brought you the trailer for the new documentary series Best Shot. The YouTube original series comes from big names: LeBron James (executive producer), Maverick Carter (executive producer), Jay Williams (host/talent), and Emmy-nominated filmmaker Michael John Warren (director).

The show, which will be released in eight parts, follows Williams as he joins the Newark Central High School boy's basketball coaching staff, alongside longtime head coach Shawn "OG" McCray, in Williams' home state of New Jersey. As the two hoops heads strive for the team's first state championship, the coaches also mentor the players on life off the court.

With the show set to debut Wednesday morning (July 18), YouTube has provided Complex with two clips from the first episode.

In the first clip, Jay Will, an ESPN host and the former No. 2 overall pick of the Chicago Bulls, meets the team for the first time and immediately runs the kids through a grueling 13-minute ball handling drill to test their fitness.

"You feel the way you're breathing right now? That's a warmup," Williams tells the winded squad as the drill wraps up, setting the tone from the jump. Check that out up top.

In the second clip, Coach OG receives his students' academic reports and reveals to the team that one of their best players is ineligible to play, challenging his team to step it up in the classroom.

The full series premiere will release at 12 p.m. ET Wednesday on the NBA YouTube channel. Below, check out more photos from the series.
