Victor Oladipo was fired up after the Indiana Pacers fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Immediately after Game 7 of their first-round series, Oladipo texted his trainer.

Dirk Nowitzki, the Dallas Mavericks' legendary forward, seemed to respect Oladipo's grind, so he attempted the same approach. The result, however, was a little bit different—the trainer roasted him. Nowitzki, one of the league's funniest players, embraced it.

I got inspired by @VicOladipo. I also texted my trainer. Here is his response...     @HoopConsultants pic.twitter.com/Wgo1p0dmh1

Dirk, 39 soon to be 40, loves making fun of himself for how washed he is. The German 7-footer, however, is still a moderately effective NBA player.

This season he put up 12.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. He can't do much more than shoot, but he's still lethal from beyond the arc. He hit 40.9 percent of his threes this season.

Dirk is under contract for one more year, and he's given every indication that he'll be back. May this man stay involved with the league in some capacity forever—we can't afford to lose Dirk.
