J.R. Smith Trashes Paparazzo for Pestering Him With LeBron Questions

J.R. Smith was in no mood to answer a paparazzo's questions about LeBron James' future.

If LeBron James decides to leave the Cavaliers next summer, it could end up having an impact on J.R. Smith. Smith signed a four-year, $57 million deal with Cleveland last October, meaning he could get stuck on a bad Cleveland team if LeBron leaves.

But it doesn’t appear as though Smith even wants to entertain the idea of LeBron leaving in 2018 yet. On Thursday night, a paparazzo caught up with him outside of a club in Los Angeles where the Cavaliers have been training this week, and Smith—who looked and sounded like he might have been inside the club earlier in the night having a really good time—went off on the guy for asking him his thoughts on LeBron’s future.

The paparazzo asked Smith if he thinks LeBron is going to end up playing for the Lakers after the upcoming season, and Smith wasn’t having any of it. He said, "I don’t give a fuck about none of this shit," before unloading on the reporter and making fun of his wardrobe in the process.

"Seriously, who cares? Who cares? Who cares? Like seriously, who cares?" Smith asked. "Nobody cares, but y’all who are making a dollar off of this. Who cares? This shit is crazy… What are you talking about? It makes no sense. You’re in a striped hoodie, bro. Like, nobody cares what you’re talking about. You got a striped hoodie with camos on. Nobody cares what you’re talking about at all."

Smith went in on the guy so hard that TMZ went out of their way to point out that he was "not our guy." And while the photog tried one more time to get a real answer out of Smith by asking, "You think LeBron’s gonna come to L.A.?" at the end of his brief interaction with him, Smith made it clear that he doesn’t speak for LeBron.

"I think LeBron’s gonna be wherever the fuck he wanna be at," Smith said.
