The Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder don't face each another until Saturday. So, in the meantime, players from both teams had a day off on Friday to do anything from relax to spend time with family and friends to maybe, possibly make a sales pitch on becoming the future face of a franchise.

Last night, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant were spotted having dinner together.

With Bryant on his way out and Durant nearing an important decision regarding his NBA future, one can't help but wonder if there was any recruiting going on during their dinner. Back in October, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith said the Lakers would be KD's preferred choice, if he were to leave the Thunder. That comment led to a crazy back and forth which resulted in Smith telling Durant, "You don't want to make an enemy out of me."

It's also clear that Durant has a lot of respect for Kobe. Maybe this off day simply allowed the Thunder star forward an opportunity to soak up some additional knowledge from one of the best players to ever play the game. Not as appealing as the recruitment angle, but still a possibility.

On a separate, but equally important sidenote: When the check came, did they split the bill? Or did one guy cover the entire cost of the dinner? If Kobe took care of it, D'Angelo Russellis going to be heated
