Getting his body reacclimated for a full season after rehabbing from a gruesome injury (that shall not be linked to, but Google it if you want) is going to be difficult for Paul George, but doing so from a new position could make it even more so. Team President Larry Bird wants George to switch from Small Forward to Power Forward next year (based on the theory that George could remain healthier if he isn't chasing opponents all over the court), saying "I'm not going to get into a battle about where Paul George will play. He's a basketball player, and we can put him anywhere out there."

Remarking on a similar move in his playing days, the three-time MVP/All-Time great shit talker said about George "He don't make the decisions around here. But I did it, and I loved it after I did it." In case you were wondering just what the hell he means by that, Bird had the opposite transition. He switched from the four to the three, doing so back before the '84-85 season where he doubled/tripled his three-point attempts every season for the rest of his Hall of Fame career.
