A lot of people think Russell Westbrook deserves to win the NBA MVP award this season. He's been absolutely amazing for the Thunder—he has nine triple-doubles this year—and has single-handedly kept Oklahoma City in the playoff hunt while Kevin Durant has been out nursing a foot injury. So it's not a surprise that there are plenty of people vouching for him.

It was kind of surprising to hear Kevin Love pick Westbrook as his MVP during an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show earlier this week, though. Love is, of course, teammates with a guy named LeBron James who has also made a pretty strong case for MVP. So Love raised a few eyebrows by picking Westbrook over LeBron. But when LeBron was asked about it yesterday, he downplayed Love's pick and said that he's entitled to his opinion.

"I don't really think too much of it," he said after practice on Tuesday. "I don't really get too involved in that. I think the voters are going to decide who is the MVP. I think what Russ has been doing, his numbers have been pretty crazy keeping those guys afloat in the West in his play. Steph Curry can make a case, for sure, what he's been doing—James Harden and myself as well. So Kevin has his own opinion of who he believes is the MVP. No one should fault him for that."

No one "should" fault him for it, but something tells us people are going to do it anyway. Do you have a problem with Love picking Westbrook over LeBron?
