According to reports coming out of Tennessee, Titans defensive tackle Sammie Hill is currently being investigated by the Atlanta Police Department for his alleged involvement in a sexual assault that took place recently. Hill has not been charged with any crime. But the APD is looking into allegations that were reportedly made by a 37-year-old woman.
The Tennesseean is reporting that the woman contacted police in Houston on December 3 and told them that she had been sexually assaulted by Hill at a hotel in Atlanta. And while Houston police couldn't begin an investigation into the woman's claims since the alleged incident took place outside of their jurisdiction, they did contact police in Atlanta and they began to look into the woman's story. They are still gathering information from the woman at this point.
"The Atlanta Police Dept. has been contacted by a female who advised she was sexually assaulted by Sammie Hill, who is an NFL player," the APD said in a statement released on Monday. "We are working with the female to obtain information about this incident. At this time, the report is not available."
The Titans also released a statement and said that they "have discussed the matter with Sammie and will continue to gather facts." But at this time, no other info is available and Hill himself has not provided any reaction to the allegations.
