It has not been a very good day for reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston. First, his Florida State team fell out of the No. 1 spot in the coaches’ poll despite having not lost a game, and now a report has emerged that Winston’s NFL stock is plummeting following news that he’ll face a university discipline hearing regarding a woman's allegation that he raped her in late 2012.

Part of the issue is that NFL owners are considering changing league rules to penalize teams whose players get into off-field trouble. Winston’s record certainly does not inspire much confidence in this regard, given his memorable incidents that include (but are not limited to) yelling a graphically sexual meme in the middle of campus and stealing crab legs from a supermarket.

While his talent is undeniable, Winston is managing to cost himself a lot of money by continuing to behave badly.
