Here's Why Andrew Bynum Got Suspended by the Cavaliers Earlier This Season

This guy is something else.

In late December, seemingly out of nowhere, the Cleveland Cavalierssuspended Andrew Bynum and cited the old "conduct detrimental to the team" excuse as their reasoning for doing it. Bynum stopped traveling with the Cavaliers to road games and stopped practicing with the team and, eventually, he was dealt to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Luol Deng a couple weeks later. But while rumors swirled around the league about Bynum, the Cavs never came out and revealed exactly what he did in order to earn a suspension from the team.

Now, we finally know. The Cavaliers still haven't spoken publicly about Bynum's exit from the team. But according to Yahoo! Sports writer Adrian Wojnarowski, who wrote a piece about the Cavaliers' recent woes this week, Andrew Bynum got suspended for doing one of the most Andrew Bynum things ever this season. Wojnarowski spoke with several sources who told him that Bynum got thrown out of his final practice with the Cavaliers in late December because—get this—he refused to stop shooting. The Cavaliers were holding a scrimmage during practice and every single time Bynum touched the ball, he shot it. From close range, from half court, from everywhere. And he refused to stop shooting even after he was asked to do so. So the coaches threw him out of practice and, later, decided to suspend him indefinitely.

How ridiculous is that? How old are you, Andrew, like 7?!

We knew that things were bad when the Cavs suspended Bynum. But we didn't know that they were that bad. No wonder Cleveland couldn't wait to get this guy off the books. SMH.

Good luck getting him under control, Indiana Pacers!
