When you're facing 3rd-and-14 on your own 1-yard line, the goal is usually pretty simple: Don't try to do anything too cute and get tackled for a safety. But Nebraska threw caution to the wind when they were in that exact predicament today. And guess what? It paid off. In a BIG way.
On the play that you'll see in the clip above, Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. drops back into his own end zone on 3rd-and-14, chucks the ball down the field, and—can you believe it?—hits his wide receiver Quincy Enunwa for a 99-yard touchdown pass. Unbelievable.
2014 is only about 15 hours old. But this is already the best play we've seen this year...
