Ridiculous, 50-Ft. Long, All-Electric Superbus Now Road Legal

The United Arab Emirates apparently needs an entire fleet of these.

Engineers at the Delft Institute of Technology have been working on this all-electric superbus since 2006 and completed building the machine in 2011. With a top speed of 155 mph, the 50-foot-long, 23-seat, six-wheeled superbus is now road-legal with a license plate allowing it's engineers to road test the machine, to be ready for mass production within the next three years.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi, two members of the United Arab Emirates separated by about 75 miles, already have plans to connect the two cities with a stretch of highways and a mass transit system involving a fleet of the superbuses.
