Gallery: The Re-Bodied 1925 Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Phantom I Round Door Coupé

In 1925 Rolls-Royce departed from the Ghost and replaced it with "The New Phantom," better known as the Phantom I. They were built in the U.K. and in one of the company's new factories in Springfield, Mass. In the 1930s, Belgian coachbuilder Jonckheere took the new-era Rolls-Royce vehicle and heavily reworked the body, producing this wild Art Deco look, featuring rare round doors. It was recently seen again at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este at Lake Como in northern Italy, so Rolls-Royce decided to revisit the controversial custom.
