We've gotten on the Detroit Pistonsearly and often this NBA season for sucking. They've had an absolutely horrendous start to their season and, frankly, there's no reason to believe that it's going to get any better anytime soon. However, we'd like to put all that aside for a second and say that we're really glad to hear that the team is okay after a scare earlier today.

The Pistons team plane, which was headed to Houston this afternoon for a game against the Rockets tomorrow, had to make an emergency landing at Hobby Airport in H-Town after the flight's pilot noticed problems with the hydraulics operating the left-side of the landing gear. Fortunately, all 44 passengers on board the plane—including players, coaches, and other team personnel—were fine. But, still: That's a scary situation. And, like we said, we're just glad everybody is okay. In the grand scheme of things, maybe things aren't so bad for this team after all.
