Hmmm...So, we're going to take Shaq's latest controversial comments with a grain of salt. He is, after all, still trying to sell a book, Shaq Uncut, right now. But we can't ignore the fact that he played with Rajon Rondo last season, so we will give him a little bit of shine for coming out yesterday and saying that Double-R is a better point guard than Chris Paul. With rumors swirling about a possible trade between the Celtics and Hornets that would send Rondo to New Orleans in exchange for CP3, Shaq appeared on a radio show to talk about why that would not be a good idea for his former team in Boston.

"Everyone is tradeable," Shaq said. "You could probably get a lot for Rajon Rondo, but he is the heart and soul of the team. I don't think that would be a good idea. If I was the general manager, I wouldn't do it...Chris Paul is not better than Rajon Rondo...Rajon Rondo is the true definition of a point guard, period. He gets everybody involved and he scores when he has to. Chris Paul scores a lot of points, but when was the last time [the Hornets] made it to the playoffs? Thank you very much."

You're welcome. We're happy to lend an ear as you try to draw more attention to yourself. That said, we're not sure we're ready to buy into your argument. If CP3 had Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen on his side, we're pretty sure he would have made playoff appearances in each of the last five years and won at least one or two 'chips. But, hey, what do we know?
