The relaunch of Kobe Bryant's Nike basketball signature sneaker line is almost here.
Just moments ago, Nike shared a teaser of an upcoming Kobe release on Twitter. The brand confirmed in the caption that the sneaker release will be unveiled tomorrow as part of the SNKRS "Live From the Archive" event via the app. The clock on the bottom of the sneaker also stops on the date Aug. 23, 2023, which would have been Bryant's 45th birthday and expected to be the day of the sneaker's release.
Shortly after Nike's teaser, Vanessa Bryant confirmed on Instagram that the sneaker in question is a reissue of the Kobe 8 "Halo," with additional "Halo" styles on the way. Prior to today's teaser, several leaks of upcoming Kobe releases had been making rounds on social media, including an all-white Kobe 8, so it's expected that the teaser is of the aforementioned colorway.
Back in June, Nike CEO John Donahoe confirmed in the brand's 2023 Q4 earnings call that the Kobe line is relaunching ahead of Kobe Day on August 24 (8/24).
