Without any warning last Friday, Kendrick Lamar dropped his sixth studio album, GNX. Keeping in the spirit of the launch formula, K-Dot has just released the music video to the second song in the project, "Squabble Up."
Directed by Calmatic, the two-minute and 45-second music video shows Kendrick at the center of a green-colored room with a crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling and surrounded by a collection of dancers rotating in and out of the scenes. The project not only has plenty of hidden Easter eggs tucked away but also features a deep assortment of footwear styles worn by the dancers throughout the video that sneaker fans can appreciate.
Kendrick himself wore an all-blue colorway of the Nike Shox, which is identical to the pair he wore on the GNX album cover. While most of the sneakers are from Nike and Jordan Brand, the Adidas Samba and the Reebok Workout Plus do make appearances.
