The purported 2024 retro run of the Air Jordan 17 just got a bit more exciting as another original colorway is reportedly joining the lineup.
According to trusted leaker @zSneakerheadz on Instagram, the "Varsity Red" Air Jordan 17 will be returning for the first time ever next year. Given its far out release, a concrete release date and early images of the rumored retro have yet to emerge, and the images shown here are of the 2002 release.
The sneaker features a white-based leather upper that's paired with a removable shroud at the midfoot. The silhouette is also equipped with a full-length shank plate and a heel stabilizer on the midsole. The original pair also came with a briefcase.
In addition to the purported "Varsity Red" Air Jordan 17 Retro, the "Lightning" colorway is also rumored to return in Summer '24 for $300. Retail pricing for the rumored "Varsity Red" Air Jordan 17 has not yet been reported.
