Up Close: LaMarcus Aldridge's Nike HyperPosite PE

The Blazers' star forward has worn the HyperPosite for two seasons now. Is this his best colorway yet?

For the second straight season, LaMarcus Aldridge has been wearing the Nike HyperPosite, a flowing model highlighted by a Foamposite footbucket overlay along the upper, a Hyperfuse panel eyestay and a full-length Air Max 360 unit underfoot. In many ways, it appeared to be a marketing dream for Nike Basketball when it first launched in the late summer of 2012, as it championed many of the category's biggest technologies.

While Aldridge and the Portland Trail Blazers struggled at times last season, this year has been nothing short of a full turnaround. The team raced out to a quick start this past fall, and went on to make the playoffs as a #5 seed. Aldridge has been a huge part of that resurgence, posting career highs in points, rebounds and assists, and leading the team to a 3-1 series lead against the Houston Rockets.

His latest HyperPosite player exclusive featured metallic red foamposite, a black/red/white tiger camo pattern, and of course, his custom "L-SMOOTH" badging along the tongue. Check out some up close images of LaMarcus' latest HyperPosite PE below, and catch the Blazers taking on the Rockets tomorrow night for Game 5 of their opening round matchup.
