The recent trend of rave-inspired sneakers continues thanks to Size's new exclusives with Adidas Originals.
Teased through the retailer's latest True to Size preview show, the "Acid House" collection includes the trend-informed Yung-1 and the women's Falcon.
Both models take on inspiration from the neon yellow smiley face which rose to represent the culture in the '80s, with the Yung-1 in particular taking on a mostly yellow look. The Falcon is more reserved in comparison, using a white-based upper with grey and black accents while yellow is used sparingly. Both the Yung-1 and Falcon feature a smiley face graphic on their insoles.
Aside from this initial reveal, few details were announced regarding a release, but these will both drop soon exclusively from Size.
UPDATE (08/17):Size? officially unveils the "Acid House" Pack, new colorways of the Yung-1 and Falcon inspired by Acid House culture. The pack is tied together by the Smiley Face, a central representation of the culture. The insoles bear smiley face versions of a character named Trimmy, which was used by the German Sports Confederation for a fitness initiative throughout the 70s.
The Yung-1 features a nubuck and soft build, while the Falcon is constructed of the same materials, along with a touch of leather on the heel. Both shoes are styled in different arrangements of the same black, yellow and white palette.
Look for the Size? exclusive Adidas Originals ‘Acid House’ Pack to release through the Size? previews app and in all Size? stores on Friday Aug 24. The Yung-1 is priced at £100, and the Falcon priced at £85.
