Adidas' ongoing Consortium 4D releases with stores like Footpatrol and Kith aren't the only futuristic collabs the Three Stripes has lined up with retailers.

The brand will also bring its Speedfactory AM4 concept to Berlin for a joint project with Overkill. Limited to 300 pairs, the Boost-cushioned sneakers come equipped with an NFC chip which can be scanned with a smartphone to reveal a video of that particular pair being laser-etched with its unique number.

Despite the sneaker's futuristic manufacturing and high-tech capabilities, Overkill looked to the past for inspiration, drawing from the ZX 4000 for the design of the upper.

The Overkill x Adidas AM4 will be released in-store on Saturday, Oct. 6 for a to-be-announced retail price. More information can be found on Facebook.
