Nike's Online Raffle System May Have Finally Beaten the Bots

Back in June, Nike rolled out its latest plan to stop automated bots with a raffle drawing that allowed 'heads to enter from a computer or smartphone and pick up their pair at a predetermined store. Thus far, it's been met with mostly positive responses and has become the standard for major releases, but it looks like Nike may have already found a way to improve it.

Yesterday, Nike announced that it will be testing out a new system for the "Bordeaux" Jordan VIIs. This new process follows the same easy steps and rules as the previous setup, except now buyers can choose to pay online and have the shoes shipped directly to their house. This is something of a game changer because until now, the only way to get the sneakers was to pick them up from a major Nike store. But with this new procedure, there's no need to even leave the comfort of your home.

It's also worth noting that the promo images for this new system (seen below) feature a screenshot of the "Chicago" Air Jordan 1s. As you may remember, this sneaker's online release was canceled because of bots last May, but this may be a hint that they're finally getting an official drop. Stay tuned for more on those.
