The 2018 FIFA World Cup is still a couple weeks away from kicking off, but Adidas has already handed Nike an L.

After trailing behind Nike's kit sponsorships at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Adidas is back on top as the global tournament descends on Russia. According to Reuters, the brand will outfit 12 of 32 teams including top contenders such as Argentina, Belgium, Germany, and Spain. Meanwhile, Nike is set to sponsor 10 teams, among them are Brazil and Portugal.

Elsewhere, Puma's numbers are down considerably from recent World Cups, with the brand kitting up just four teams this year after providing threads for eight teams in 2014, and leading the way with 12 sponsorships back in 2006.

The remaining 2018 sponsors include Errea (Iceland), Hummel (Denmark), New Balance (Costa Rica and Panama), Uhlsport (Tunisia), and Umbro (Peru).

This year's action begins Thursday, June 14.
