It remains to be seen if anything will actually come of Kanye West's desire to work with Payless, but if it does happen, he wouldn't be the first high-profile designer to link up with the brand.
Back in 2009, before sneaker collaborations were a weekly thing, Jeff Staple dropped an Airwalk collaboration exclusively at Payless. This was part of Staple's ongoing work with Airwalk and featured five different silhouettes ranging from slip-ons to boot-like high tops.
