Ever since its "Inferno" 998s in early 2014, J.Crew has been on a tear with New Balance collaborations. The menswear destination has since earned a spot next to sneaker boutiques as a shop to watch for collabs, and it looks like that trend will continue well into 2015.
Seen here is the store's latest take on the New Balance 996 known as the "Neptune Blue." For these, J.Crew kept the inspiration relatively simple, drawing varying hues of blue from the bodies of water that we spend our summers lounging on. From the pools to the oceans, these 996s will hold you down with alternating shades of navy and washed-out blues.
These will officially wash ashore at J.Crew in store and online on July 21, but the NYC Liquor Store will host an exclusive presale on July 16 from 6-8 p.m. if you can't wait. Retail is set at $150.
