With roots in Boston and a newly-opened location in New York, Concepts has ties to two of the greatest franchises in MLB history, which also happens to be one of the game's biggest rivalries. Before the first pitch of the 2016 season next week, the store has started to unveil its "City Rivalry" pack with New Balance.
Here, the New Balance 998 undergoes a Boston Red Sox-inspired makeover with rusty red and grey suede color blocking. It's not the most obvious Red Sox colorway, but that's not necessarily a bad thing—the color combination Concepts has come up with looks fantastic either way. Meanwhile, there's a yet-to-be-revealed New York Yankees make up, but we'll have to wait and see what that one looks like.
