You should already know that Barneys New York is one of the best places to cop sneakers in NYC, but if for some reason you're not convinced, just take a look at its new collection with Filling Pieces.
As the latest installment in the BNY Sole Series, Filling Pieces introduces five new styles that are exclusive to Barneys. Each look was designed in close collaboration with the store's footwear buyer, Chris Pepe, resulting in a range that is as unique as it is sophisticated.
The silhouette of choice for this collab is the Filling Pieces Low Top, which is offered in three men's and two women's colorways. As always, Filling Pieces has debuted some impressive techniques here, including an "Impala" leather that's been embossed with a custom camo pattern and rare Italian Cosido quilted fabrics.
For Filling Pieces founder Guillaume Philibert, working with Barneys is quite literally a dream. "As a 19-year-old kid I came to NYC for the first time, dreaming about being able to work with a company like Barneys some day," he said.
Look at how far he's come. The Barneys New York x Filling Pieces "BNY Sole Series" will release this Friday, September 25.
