adidas came out of nowhere earlier this month with the NMD Runner, and it looks like the old-meets-new sneaker is only getting started.
The Category Director of Customization at adidas, Till Jagla, recently shared a look at a friends and family exclusive NMD Runner that gives us a better idea of the upper's possibilities. Previously seen in only solid black and white-based designs, this version of the NMD features a patterned Primeknit upper that is somewhat reminiscent of the Yeezy Boost 350.
For now, it looks like these are strictly for adidas friends and family only, meaning they're likely even rarer than the NMD Consortium "Key City" release. However, it's worth mentioning that the "Cream" Ultra Boosts that were originally distributed to friends and family ended up getting a public release eventually. Check back for more updates on these.
