King James is inching closer to his second NBA ring, and after last night's win against the Pacers, now is a better time than ever for Nike Basketball and Nike Sportswear to come together and give us some LeBron retros. James has had a number of dope sneakers we'd like to see retro, but it seems appropriate to begin with the one that started it all. The Nike Air Zoom Generation released 10 years ago when King James first took his talents from Akron down the road a bit to Cleveland. South Beach has proven to be more lucrative for James, but don't worry Cleveland fans, we've got some colorways you'll appreciate here too. Nike Air Zoom Generation "South Beach"

Can you blame us? The "South Beach" LeBron 8s entered the 'Bron pantheon the second the first spy shots hit the intertoobs, so there's no doubt that an AZG drenched in the same tropical colors would hit hard. Maybe just in time for The Decision 2.

LeBron's love for New York wasn't enough to get him to sign with the Knicks but the "Big Apple" first inspired the all red colorway back on the Zoom LeBron 6.

Call these a Grant Hill tribute - dude drank Sprite (at least in commercials) and was putting up triple-doubles in the League when LeBron was still in elementary school. Not to mention that vibrant blue, green and yellow would really pop off the AZGs.

Yeah, LeBron isn't a Cav anymore (and he probably won't be a Knick ever), but blue and orange found their way onto his kicks in 2006 and made themselves at home there. Forget all the "Floridians" nonsense and give us some Ron Harper AZGs.

LeBron's own St. Vincent St. Mary in Akron isn't the only high school he blesses with PEs. There's also Fairfax in L.A., which has actually produced more musicians (Slash, Flea, Warren Zevon) than NBA players (Chris Mills). But they got those Brons though!

Another one of DJ Clark Kent's creations, the "Denim" LeBron 8 is another sneaker most won't see in person. We can however, imagine it nicely on the Air Zoom Generation.

One of the most coveted colorways in the LeBron line is the "112" colorway made famous by DJ Clark Kent. It first appeared in the Nike LeBron line on the VII as a friends and family only. If we had our way, the AZG would get the 112 treatment as well.
