With Summer 2019 officially underway, there are a handful of pairs dropping this week that are certainly worthy of adding to your warm weather footwear rotation.
This week's releases start early with the global launch of the Matthew M. Williams x Nike Free TR Flyknit 3 pack. Another big release follows with the first half of the Stranger Things x Nike collab arriving on Thursday. On Friday, look forward to the "Pride" Golf Le Fleur from Converse and Tyler, the Creator, as well as a Size-exclusive colorway of the New Balance 990v5.
Saturday will showcase the Babe Ruth-inspired "ESRUC" Concepts x New Balance 997S Fusion, "Utility Black" Adidas Yeezy Boost 700, "Olympic" Nike Shox BB4, and "Gym Red" Air Jordan I. Early releases next week include the Jordan Trunner NXT HTM and second half of Nike's collaboration with the popular Netflix sci-fi series, Stranger Things, ahead of its season 3 premier.

Matthew M. Williams x Nike Free TR Flyknit 3

What You Need to Know: After a limited drop at Nike's Re-Creation Center in Chicago earlier this month, Matthew M. Williams' Nike Free TR Flyknit 3s are finally receiving a wider release. Each pair features a sock-like upper with details like elastic ankle collars, a speed lacing system, large Swoosh branding, and medial side zippers. The main component of the design is the removable Vibram outsole harnessed to the upper with a series of straps. Williams' collab will release in "Black/Red" and "Ivory" options.

'Stranger Things' x Nike Collection

What You Need to Know: Ahead of the highly-anticipated premier of Stranger Things season 3 on Netflix on July 4, Nike will be releasing two collections inspired by the hit sci-fi series. Each will feature three retro models: the Cortez, Air Tailwind '79, and Blazer Mid. The first trio is designed to represent Hawkins High School and features a white, green, and orange color palette. Hawkins High logos complete each pair. The second pack, dubbed the "OG" collection, features red, white, and blue color schemes. Each pair will come complete with co-branded tongue tags and insoles, special packaging, and a commemorative pin set.

Converse Golf Le Fleur 'Pride'

What You Need to Know: Still enjoying the success of his recently-released album Igor, Tyler, the Creator is celebrating LGBT Pride Month with a special colorway of his Converse Golf Le Fleur sneaker. The pair features a white leather upper with a rainbow-colored midsole. The usual floral branding on the side panels, tongue, and outsole complete the design.
Size x New Balance 990v5

What You Need to Know: European retailer Size is dropping an exclusive colorway of the New Balance 990v5 this Friday. The pair features yellow mesh, royal blue suede, and pink laces. The color palette is inspired by pop art frequently found in British corner stores in the '80s. The colorful pair is finished with grey detailing on the "N" logo, tongue, and heel. It sits atop a black sole.
Concepts x New Balance 997S Fusion 'ESRUC'

What You Need to Know: Concepts' latest New Balance collaboration takes clever inspiration from Boston's extensive sports history, namely the Curse of the Bambino. This "ESRUC" 997S Fusion is dressed in a magenta pig skin suede upper with orange detailing. The color palette is inspired by posters for the broadway play, No, No, Nanette. Then-Boston Red Sox owner Harry Frazee is believed to have sold Babe Ruth to the rival New York Yankees in 1920 to fund the musical. The deal was believed by some Sox faithful to trigger the 86-year championship drought for the city's baseball club. The release will be exclusive to Patta London to celebrate the first MLB games taking place in Europe this weekend between the Red Sox and Yankees.
Pleasures x Reebok Classic Collection

What You Need to Know: California-based streetwear brand Pleasures has teamed up with Reebok Classics for its take on two different models from the Reebok archive, along with matching apparel. The Aztrek features an all-black upper with leather overlays and chrome detailing on the eyelets and heel. The accompanying Club C utilizes a blue suede upper with a green tongue and eyestay.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 'Utility Black'

What You Need to Know: The Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 arrives in yet another simplistic colorway this weekend. The "Utility Black" pair sports an all-black upper constructed of mesh, suede, and leather. Kanye West's chunky runner design sits atop a gum outsole for a bit of contrast.
Nike Shox BB4 'Olympic'

What You Need to Know: One of the biggest moments of Vince Carter's 20-year career occured at the 2000 Sumer Olympics in Sydney when he dunked over France's 7’2″ center, Frederic Weis. An "Olympic" colorway of the Nike Shox BB4 donned his feet during the legendary leap. Nostalgic hoop fans will be pleased to see the pair is getting the retro treatment this weekend. The release will stay true to the OG with a white leather upper, navy blue nubuck side panels, silver detailing, and its signature Shox pillars under the heel.
Air Jordan I 'Gym Red'

What You Need to Know: The Air Jordan I arrives in a brand new "Gym Red" colorway this weekend. The pair is dressed in the colors synonymous with the Air Jordan line: white, black, and red. This particular iteration sports a white leather upper, black overlays, and Gym Red detailing on the Swoosh and ankle collar. A Sail midsole gives the pair a subtle vintage touch.
Jordan Trunner NXT HTM

What You Need to Know: Jordan Brand is introducing three new styles for the everyday runner to kick off July: the Trunner NXT, Trunner LT, and React Havoc. The highlight of the delivery is the HTM colorway, designed by Hiroshi Fujiwara, Mark Parker, and Tinker Hatfield, of the Trunner NXT. The pair features a multi-colored digi camo print across its black or white-based mesh upper, Jumpman logos on each side panel, a black cage covering the React-cushioned midsole, and HTM logo on the tongue.
Bristol Studio x Adidas BYW LVL II

What You Need to Know: Lifestyle brand Bristol Studio and Adidas Originals are back at it again this summer with a new Consortium collab on the BYW LVL II model. The basketball-informed model is revamped here with knit mesh and premium leather, but the key detail is one that may go overlooked at a glance: the sneaker's left and right shoes are actually mirror image flips of one another.
